More than 100 organizations and entrepreneurs have submitted proposals for the Call for Proposals that will support up to 10 initiatives in the development of afrotourism routes throughout the country.

The first national public call for AfroTourism funding, the Black Routes Notice, carried out by Diaspora.Black, closed registrations with more than 100 initiatives proposed by Afro-entrepreneurs from all over the country! The objective is to expand black narratives of tourism in all Brazilian regions, developing new itineraries for tours and experiences focused on Afro-Brazilian memories and cultures.
The complete list of approved registrations will be disclosed this Tuesday, February 1st. Those organizations that do not have their registrations validated may file appeals this Wednesday, February 2nd, as indicated in the Notice.
Registrations were made between December 12th and January 30th, with proposals for innovative routes on the memory and black culture of various territories.
An external committee will evaluate the registrations and indicate the 30 organizations that will go through the National AfroTourism Mapping, a diagnosis on the Route or Proposal and on the responsible parties for its development.
The results of the selected proposals will be announced on February 9th. And the mapping and diagnosis period will take place between February 8th and 22nd. Answering the questionnaire is mandatory to participate in the selection of supported proposals.
On March 7th, the 10 initiatives selected to receive support for the development or prototyping of routes in partnership with Diaspora.Black will be announced.
